Pictures Forthcoming (hopefully)
I was in town today again. This time, I was prepared for the flowers. I took my camera along so that I could take pictures of the azaleas, dogwoods, and wisteria (in the country). I don't have any pictures of the wisteria yet, but I plan to get that done soon. Also, I hope to get some of the pics from the other week when Lez was down and we went to take engagement pictures. Warning: some of them are not serious!! But these all will probably wait until next weekend or later.
Georgia is so beautiful. But this week, Masters week, is so much more wonderful.
I love Spring.

What camera do you have?
My curiousity got the best of me. :-)
I have a Kodak Advantix F600. It only has a 2.0x zoom, but I really like it because it has the APS (Advanced Photo System) feature.
Yeah, some of the features of the APS are nice. Being able to switch film types in the middle of a roll is nice. But I can do that on my camera as well. Gloat gloat. All you need is a film leader retriever. Three downsides of APS are these: Only offering film in ISO 200 and 400, though maybe there's a 100; 24mm, which makes for more grainy enlargements, and lower avaliablity of film.
Not that you asked me to critique your camera or anything.
Darin, I hope you are not going to forever be a camera snob. I was like that many years ago and had and have 3 Nikon bodies and a few lenses, but not as many as I wanted {:>(. However, it was a time of a growing family and trips and more energy than now. Also with the change of technology in photography, and the costs, I have given up the serious side I once sought. I have old darkroom equiptment just sitting around and may try to sell it or find a home for it sometime, but that too is a fading technology in light of the digital era.
Also photography is not the same for everyone, most just want pics not photographs, I see a vast difference here. Digital makes it a consumer thing because of the home uses without the film and development by third parties. To me the art is not the same. But then, who am I to speak for everyone else, any camera is better than no camera when a pic is needed, and with a little work a photograph may be had with a pocket 35mm or digital.
F-8 and be there!
No, I don't want to be a snob in any form, camera or no.
I've this terrible weakness for doing things "the professional" way. Not only that, I also tend to consider anybody who doesn't do it "the professional" way as having not quite arrived. It's a very bad habit that I should leave behind.
