Bad & Good News

Kaylie has thrush again. She may have a weak immune system. That was the only reason the doctor knew to tell me for why she would have it again within two months.

The good news is our tax refund came through today! I'm once again praising the Lord for this blessing!

Actually that does not surprise me that Kaylie has thrush again, I've heard of that with thrush--not seeming to "get over it". One of my nephews was that way--he had it countless times during the first year of his life! That was not supposed to discourage you though! :-) Just letting you know it might be more "normal" than you think. Blessings to you!

I am poking my nose in here without being asked. :( One thing I learned in my study of yeast is how difficult it is to get rid of! Are you sterilizing pacifiers, bottles, cups, etc.? I was depressed to see all the stuff that was supposedly necessary to get rid of it. Hang any clothes related to the baby and nursing out in the sun. I have heard that gentian violet is supposed to work really well. Avoiding sugar is supposed to help, too. I'm sorry she's got it again. That must be really frustrating. Yeast is a PAIN. God bless you. :)

I've appreciated your reflections on God's provision for you. I suppose that's especially felt with a husband in school. A good reminder to me to be obviously thankful for financial blessings- big and little!

Sharon, thanks for your encouragement!
Cheryl, I wouldn't post my thoughts, if I didn't want comments from others, so don't feel you were being nosy. =] Yes, I tried gentian violet before.....it's so messy! So I didn't try it this time. Yes, I've done sterilizing of different things, and both times I've thrown the pacifiers away after it's all over with. Just started Kaylie on new ones last again for the second time.
They gave me the same med. she has, so we could both get rid of it from the inside out this time.
So far it's not come back!
Angela, thanks for the compliment. I don't do well enough being thankful--just ask my husband! Though yes, having a husband in school makes any type of gift, financial or whatever, so much more special and appreciated, that's for sure! Sharon can identify with that, I'm sure!

Hi! I hope Kaylie's thrush goes away for good this time. :-) I enjoyed reading back over your blog. Your little girl is just adorable and I love her name. We actually had picked that out for our first baby, spelled a little different. She has so much hair!!! Ali barely has as much hair now as she was born with. I never replied to you about how much she weighs. 20lbs. at her 6 month check-up. Yeah, I know she's a chubs....
