Pro-NRA

Here's what PY and I were doing for part of the day today. This is 30 rounds with a .22 Ruger handgun. I had never shot a pistol before. I shot 10 rounds at around 15 feet, with all hitting in the black. 10 more at 25 feet one-handed, and the shot lower left was the only one in the white. (The ones at the black/white border come from these 2 also.) Then we moved it to 50 feet, and 5 were out and 5 in the black. The inscription to the right reads,"Vernon Horst 5-7-05 .22 Ruger 25 & 50 feet Suitable for being in Yates family -PY"

Vernon, don't you dare settle into that stupid initials thing like Byran did. I can't stand it.

What where you shooting? A single six? Lavern has a 22 and a 44 mag, both Ruger single six's. The first time I shot the 44 I didn't think about how much kick it'd have and almost brained myself. EEek.

Vernon, you had better lookout,Paul is going to get you into trouble with Lezlie!

But I gotta say, Good shoot'n! A little more practice and you'll be ready to step up to a 9mm or 40S&W or 45ACP! Then there is the 44Mag that Darin mentioned (Paul has MINE BTW), and when you are really ready for the 'big gun' you can try the Smith & Wesson .500 Magnum with 2+ times the energy of the 44Mag. You and Paul can get one and we 3 can play with it!:>)(Of course youall will have to buy the ammo too.)Looking forward to some shoot'n with you two!

One thing about handguns, if you know the bad trick of flinching you'll really notice it with one of these! Yeah the .44 is fun to shoot, just don't ask about accuracy! I'd like to get some .44 specials to get more used to the gun and hopefully learn not to flinch! And maybe a Hoge grip. It's irritating, just dry firing I can do just fine, squeeze and no flinch. Load 'er up and its a different story!
